Judy Gauthier has been sewing and designing for many years. She started as a 4-H member at the age of 9 and immediately began sewing and designing her own garments. A critical care nurse by trade, she is the owner of Bungalow Quilting and Yarn in Ripon, Wisconsin. She believes that increased health benefits are achieved by interacting with color and fiber. She has been a Wisconsinite her whole life and her inspiration is derived from her customers and her physical surroundings. She is the author of 6 books published by C&T Publishing, including Quilts for Scrap Lovers, Rainbow Quilts for Scrap Lovers, Sew Cuddly, Tantalizing Table Toppers, Sensational Scrap Quilts, and Quilt as You Go for Scrap Lovers. Her favorite quilts are scrappy and spontaneous, loving the look of bright colors combined in interesting and unexpected ways. She has been a guest on Nancy Zieman’s Sewing with Nancy in a 2-part series about her books and continues to teach classes across the country. She is on the faculty for the International Quilt Festival in Houston. She has also appeared on local morning TV shows in Wisconsin. She has 4 grown children and a husband of 33 years.
